Lean Legs

Lord Almighty, when we are feeling weak and inadequate, may we remember that our strength comes from you alone.  Amen.

Workout of the Day:




4-part lunges: Lunge forward with right leg, return to starting.  Lateral lunge (to your right) with right leg, return to starting.  Reverse lunge with right leg, return to starting.  Curtsy lunge with right leg, return to starting.  Repeat this for a total of 8 times with your right leg and then switch to left leg.  For an added challenge, hold weight(s).

Hindu squats: Perform a front raise with arms as you squat

1-leg squat hops:  Standing on one leg, squat down until your fingers touch the ground, then explode up with your foot leaving the ground.  Perform 30 on one leg before switching to the other leg.

Frog squats:  Squat down as low as you can and place your elbows between your knees with your hands touching.  Drive hips up so legs are almost straight, return to starting position.  Continue for 45 seconds.  See this video for a demonstration.
